Characters in a story come to life when one a person is able to understand the character, empathise with it enough to become it and then enact it, this is the Art of Acting.

Acting is a Mimetic mode that requires the artist to use imagination, emotions, physical expression and vice projection to breath life into the character as the creator visualized it.

Acting requires a creative and compassionate attitude, it must aim to lift life up to a higher level of meaning and not tear it down or demean it.
